For over 30 years and I work with mushrooms in all my countless trips I had ever met the mushrooms grown in a beer bottle abandoned in the woods. Certainly does not honor those who have left the bottle in the woods this act uncivilized. The waste should not be left where it happens, and especially in the woods.
But those two mushrooms (Xerocomus sp.), Perhaps it is not really that disappointed because they thought maybe they were safer in the bottle and have certainly among them said: "Here no one picks up and the snails do not eat."
Besides the joke, we learn to love and respect nature that is not ours: we borrow it from our children to which we must return so as we have inherited.
